The Gospel Center Rescue Mission (GCRM) is a ministry to the people of San Joaquin County where the homeless and addicted in our community are presented the opportunity for spiritual, physical and emotional restoration through the love of Jesus Christ.
A concern for the post-depression era homeless brought a few individuals together to put actions to their faith in 1939. On April 9, 1940 a non-profit was established and mission of rescue was initiated. With the help of more people of faith from the Ripon area, programs were added to see to it that the homeless were fed, clothed, sheltered, receive addiction treatment and medical care.
After over 75 years of witnessing countless lives be restored, the mission of rescue is needed now more than ever. GCRM is the only agency in San Joaquin County focusing on the long-term recovery of homeless men, women and children with a 47% success rate. GCRM also provides the only Homeless Recuperative Care Program and non-profit payee service in the County.
